Is Foot Pain Holding You Back?

We’re excited to announce the expansion of our Podiatry Biomechanics service with our newest member, Benn Boshell. He joins us to work alongside Andy and is available now for consultations at all our clinics.

Biomechanics is about the way your body moves and how your lower limb and foot movements can affect you. If your feet are misaligned your body compensates for this by changing the way your foot, knee, hip or lower back behave.

Over time this change can cause pain to the lower limb and lower back. If you experience:

  • Foot pain
  • Heel or arch pain
  • Knee, hip or lower back pain
  • Flat feet
  • Toe deformities such as Bunions

… the solution could be right under your feet!

The most effective treatment for correcting poor foot posture are custom orthotics (insoles). Orthotics are custom made from a cast of your feet and offer the exact correction required to realign your foot and alleviate or completely resolve your symptoms.

Children Adults Sports
Children often suffer from flat feet if their arches do not develop correctly, and being constantly active also places huge demands on their growing feet. Which is why treating poor biomechanics early can help prevent long term issues. You walk about 100,000 miles in your lifetime, so minor misalignments in your feet, or wearing incorrect shoes can cause pain in your foot, ankle, knee, hip or lower back. Our orthotics are designed to fit a range of your daily footwear. Orthotics can also be required for specific sports and hobbies. Sports orthotics are bespoke to your feet and designed especially to cope with the unique movements, positions and forces encountered in your sport.
