Hi, my name is Sue and I started working at Hatt’s in March 2015 as an Accounts Assistant, and I can honestly say that joining Hatt’s has been the best career move I have made!

For 15 years I worked within the customer service sector and after being made redundant I felt it was a great opportunity for a change of career. So I went back to college to study basic bookkeeping which was my first step into the exciting field of accounting.

Soon after my first year at Hatt’s I was keen to further my accounting training, and with the full support of my Manager I started working on my AAT qualifications. I signed up for the Level 2 AAT then the Level 3 and I am delighted to say I passed both, making me a qualified Bookkeeper! I’ll be starting my Level 4 training soon. I have been given so much support and guidance with my career and personal development and I am only ever encouraged to keep progressing my learning. I feel there is no limit to my role at Hatt’s and I have now been promoted to Accounts Manager.

Coming in to work, the atmosphere is always bright, positive and smiley. Everyone helps everyone else and nothing is too much trouble. I also work on reception in the clinics from time to time to help if needed and I enjoy meeting and greeting our patients – it’s also nice to have a bit of variety in my role.

We are a very social company and enjoy nothing better than an out of hours catch up. You can guarantee whatever we do it will be full of laughter and it’s a great opportunity to get to know everyone better and have a good catch up.

I really couldn’t have been given a better opportunity than at Hatt’s and I am really excited to see what the future holds for me within the company.
