What is Strength & Conditioning?

Strength and conditioning (or S&C) is a method of physical training designed specifically to help you improve your physical or athletic performance. Strength and Conditioning is more than just lifting weights and is not limited to just elite athletes – it can help anyone.

It looks at your current fitness and what is needed to help you achieve your goals. You may feel you need the guidance, support and motivation to help you keep fit. Perhaps you’ve signed up to a marathon and need help with your training. Or you’re really into a sport and want to get better at it. Whatever your goal, our S&C programme can help you get there.

 

How can an S&C programme benefit me?

Our S&C programmes are suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels. With an S&C programme you will:

  • Take your strength & fitness to the next level, helping you achieve your goal
  • Get guidance, motivation and support with your training
  • Achieve something you ever thought you could
  • Reduce your risk of injury

What can I expect from my S&C programme?

  • You’ll start your S&C journey with a QuickStart programme which includes one 1:1 sessions (45min each) and 3 S&C classes (50 min each).
  • At your 1:1 session we’ll get to know you, understand why you’ve joined an S&C programme and what you’d like to get out of it. From this, we’ll develop a bespoke S&C programme just for you, and get you started on your training.
  • The 1:1 session is there to give you close guidance and support to ensure you start your training on the right footing.
  • Your next 3 sessions will be in a class environment (maximum of 4 people per class), where you’ll be able to make the most of a more sociable and dynamic environment to progress with your training.
  • After qualifying from your QuickStart, you can either join one of our exciting classes, or continue with 1:1s.
