Dan Long

Dan graduated from St Mary’s University, Twickenham in 2018, with a BSc (Hons) in Sport Rehabilitation.

His passion for rehab was ignited by work experience at the Institute of Naval Medicine and with the team involved in Prince Harry’s Help For Heroes “Walk for the Wounded” expedition to the South Pole in 2013.

Before joining the Hatt team, Dan had experience working with Millwall Football club, Great Britain Gymnastics, the Great British Row, London Irish Rugby, and the London Marathon. He also toured nationally and internationally as pitch side rehabilitation specialist with the Wooden Spoon Marauders and worked with the Samurai International and Jamaica sevens, rugby teams.  He also worked for Trojans and Hampshire Rugby.

Since joining Hatt in 2018 Dan has continued to develop his skills in rehabilitating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions working within the Rehabilitation and Sports therapy teams.

Dan has a passion for creating lasting positive change for his patients, making sure that each individual has a holistic approach by understanding and incorporating the patient’s goals to maximise movement control and strength in order to help prevent future recurrence of injury or dysfunction.

Outside of work, Dan loves sport and music. He plays competitive Hockey for Marlborough Hockey club, enjoys playing the piano and going for long walks or cycle rides in his spare time. He also enjoys time on the boat on the Solent and Hamble River.
