Garrath Pledger

Garrath began as a professional golfer, gaining qualifications from the Professional Golfers Association and then playing full time on national tours for 2 years. Garrath then continued his development by starting a career in Personal Training gaining national qualifications and experience as a PT and Gym Manager before moving into teaching Personal Trainers himself for over 7 years.

During this time he came into contact with a broad range of people and developed a thirst for coaching at an elite level, gaining accreditation with the UK Strength & Conditioning Association in 2012. Garrath was fortunate enough to then gain a role within England rugby’s women’s development pathway as an S&C coach to the young, up and coming players. This led to an opportunity to take over as Lead S&C for England Physical Disability Cricket squad in 2015 which he continues to do and supports the squad at camps and tours around the world. A hugely enjoyable role with a rewarding group of athletes who inspire everyone they meet with their commitment.

Garrath is currently working through a Masters degree in Strength & Conditioning at St Mary’s University in Twickenham, pushing his knowledge to the next level to support his career and the the people he works with.

Garrath enjoys all sports and has been a keen rugby player and volleyball player in the past whilst still maintaining his golfing skills when he can. He ran the New York marathon in 2007 and this combination of sporting background and coaching experience drives Garrath to inspire everyone he coaches to enjoy the benefits of a healthy, active lifestyle and push people to exceed their potential.
