Matt qualified from the University Hospital of Wales, in Cardiff in 1999, and started work at Wycombe General Hospital where he gained experience working in the Respiratory, Orthopaedics, Neurology, and Musculoskeletal fields.

Since 2001 Matt has specialised in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy becoming our Clinical Lead Therapist in 2015.

Being a keen runner (with a few injuries himself) Matt has attended numerous running analysis and movement control courses to help improve his performance and prevent his injuries. Matt has used this experience to set up our running analysis clinic where he performs assessments – looking at your flexibility, strength and control alongside recording your running technique. From the information he obtains he is able to provide exercises and advice on how to improve your performance and help prevent any injuries.

Matt has further experience working within other sporting fields and spent 3 years as the Physiotherapist for Marlow RFC, and was the first team Physiotherapist for the Buckinghamshire representative rugby side.

Matt is also our ergonomic specialist treating any work related problems. This involves assessing patients in their working environment and providing exercises and advice to prevent any work related issues.

Outside of work Matt loves to travel and adores afternoon tea and picnics. He is a very proud father of 2 girls and enjoys spending every minute running around after them.

Jill qualified from the Middlesex Hospital School of Physiotherapy in 1990. She started her working life at Milton Keynes General Hospital, where she rotated through all the clinical specialties for two years and then took a senior post in Outpatients and Orthopaedics.

In 1993 Jill moved into private practice and has spent her time working in multi disciplinary clinics with, to name but a few, orthopaedic specialists, osteopaths, chiropractors and podiatrists. Throughout her career, Jill has continued to attend numerous courses to update and expand her knowledge and is also a highly trained Pilates Instructor at Hatt’s.

In April 2011 she and her partner embarked on a six month cycling expedition round the coast of Great Britain. Since then Jill has completed 2 Half ironman triathlons and one Full Ironman and completed the 3 Peaks Challenge.

Jill enjoys treating all musculo-skeletal problems from neck and back pain and dysfunction to sports injuries and everything in between. She has a particular interest in Myofascial Release (connective tissue release), and takes a number of exciting Pilates classes.

Outside of work Jill enjoys yoga, running, cycling, swimming, cooking, camping, stand-up paddleboarding and music.

Iona qualified from the University of Essex and started working in the NHS at The Great Western Hospital in Swindon where she gained expereince working through the departments of community therapy, respiratory, inpatient rehabilitation, orthopaedics and musculoskeletal.  She then worked for 3 years as a Senior Physiotherapist in both the Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal departments managing complex patient cases for inpatients and outpatients as well as supporting the development of patient services, by working closely with clinical specalists and orthopaedic consultants. Iona then started up her own private work, working with an independent gym to rehabilitate the members but has stopped working for the NHS and her own service to join Hatt’s in May 2026.

Iona has regularly attended courses throughout her working career to improve her knowdge, skills and supplement her treatment. She enjoys treating all muskuloskeletal conditions but has particular expereince in pre/post operatative care, neck/lower back pain, shoulder injuries and chronic pain.

Outside of work Iona enjoys horse riding, sailing and has competed sucessfully in these sports from a young age. She also enjoys attending the gym regularly, singing and spending time with friends and family, and anything outdoors!!

Iona is a member of the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council).

Daniel graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan Uni with a bachelor’s degree in Strength and Conditioning, Rehabilitation and Massage and a Masters degree in Sport Rehabilitation in 2021. After studying, Daniel began working within professional rugby teams, travelling around the country as the head of medical and pitch-side responder. Throughout this time, Daniel developed strong clinical skills and techniques whilst experiencing a large range of injuries in a sporting environment.

Since working with Hatt’s in the autumn of 2023, Daniel has shown a particular interest in restoring tendon function and treating muscular and ligament injuries. Sports injuries and developing a strong return to sports programmes to allow athletes to perform at their best post-injury are also Daniel’s main working passion. Outside of work, Daniel enjoys playing football, tennis and running. He can be found around town shopping for old Vinyl records, drinking a flat white or researching the next place to travel.

Craig graduated in 2015 from the University of Gloucestershire with a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Therapy. During his studies, Craig gained experience with Bristol Rugby, Neurokinex and spent two seasons with Hallen F.C.
Once Craig became qualified he worked in his home city Bristol where he worked for Back2Action. Here Craig was lucky enough to work with professional athletes and learn valuable rehabilitation skills. Craig has experience rehabilitating various injuries such as ACL reconstructions, spinal cord trauma, SLAP lesion repair, stroke recovery, hip osteoarthritis and more.
The love for injury rehabilitation came from an unfortunate accident that changed his life. Being a patient once he is able to understand the hard times and good times rehab can bring.In his spare time, Craig likes to keep himself fit and healthy by going to the gym and cycling. He is a keen football fan, supporting Bristol Rovers and Chelsea but also enjoys watching many other sports. He also loves music, from soulful sounds to heavy guitar – he listens to it all!

Jon joined the Hatt Clinic in 2017 and became part of our Manual Therapy team. Over the years, he has developed his skills, knowledge, and experience in Manual Therapy and has become a Strength Coach, creating personalised exercise plans for our patients to help them achieve their physical goals.

Leading an active lifestyle himself, Jon understands how frustrating injuries can be so he works incredibly hard to get our patients back on their feet as quickly as possible. He then supports and encourages them to continue to live an active and healthy lifestyle going forward.
Jon is a keen sportsman and is always looking for the next challenges, more recently developing new skills in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and climbing.

Josh graduated from Southampton Solent University in 2021 with a BSc (Hons) in Sports & Exercise Therapy. During his time at university, Josh gained experience working in Physiotherapy clinics, gyms and working pitchside for sports clubs. He is very passionate about healthcare and has a keen interest in understanding the most effective ways for athletes to overcome injuries.

After university, Josh worked in a gym environment offering manual therapy treatments along with exercise & rehabilitation for his patients.

Outside of work, Josh likes to keep fit and active by going to the gym, playing football, and skiing in the winter. He loves to watch football and enjoys spending time with friends.

Nick graduated from Leeds Beckett University in 2025 with a BSc (Hons) in Sports and Exercise Therapy. During his studies, he gained experience working in clinic settings, rugby union and rugby league teams, and alongside medical teams at various combat events. Following his graduation, Nick supported matchday and pitch side duties with Bath Rugby Ladies United.

In his free time, Nick is a keen footballer, golfer, and runner, having completed10km and half marathon races. He enjoys listening to a wide range of music, attending live events, and travelling. He also enjoys skiing and socialising with friends.

Jake graduated from University of Gloucestershire with a BSc (Hons) degree in Sport Therapy.

After graduating, he joined both private practice and Bristol City Youth Academy as a Sports Therapist, gaining extensive experience treating musculoskeletal injuries across multiple seasons. Since joining the Hatt’s team in May 2026, Jake has brought experience from non-league and professional football, hydrotherapy, and clinical rehabilitation, allowing him to deliver a well-rounded approach to treatment and recovery.

Before pursuing a career in rehabilitation and manual therapy, Jake spent time living in the United States and worked professionally as a musician in the UK. He has also worked with horses and is a trained barista and cocktail bartender. Outside the clinic, Jake remains highly active through football, squash, and weight training, and has a keen interest in sport — particularly the NFL.

Melanie has had an exciting and varied career working in customer service, marketing and then 6 years in a primary school where she gained her degree in Education Studies as well as the ability to multi-task and work swiftly under pressure.

Melanie joined the Patient Services team at Hatt’s in 2017 bringing her friendly and enthusiastic attitude, along with her excellent customer service skills.

In 2019 a different pathway became clear and she undertook a distance learning Diploma in Foot health practice and has now joined our Podiatry team.

Mel spends her spare time looking after her extended family, running, doing Pilates and when not actually visiting, she is dreaming of new places to visit with her partner.

Clementina joined our team in September 2025 as a Podiatrist,  after graduating with a Bsc in Podiatry from University of Plymouth, in the summer of 2025. After spending time across the BANES area she is looking forward to working across a wide range of Podiatry and related Bio mechanics within the Hatt team.

Combining previous career experience and with a keen interest in dermatology Clementina is ready to offer the latest podiatry and lifestyle advice for the benefit of patients.

Away from the clinic Clementina enjoys Coastal walking particularly when returning to her native Cornish homeland and time on her allotment experimenting with growing different produce.

Marilyn joined the Hatt Clinic team in 2017 after previously working in a number of Pilates and fitness studios in Central London and Hertfordshire. She has taught a number of studio-based disciplines since 2015 including Spin, Boxercise, and Vinyasa Flow Yoga as well as managing studios and gym floors.

Marilyn brings her knowledge of the human body and experience, from nearly two decades of training, to tailor every Pilates class to each attendee’s needs, offering a truly bespoke experience. She has a warm and personable style and encourages confidence and individual progression whether you are new to the clinic or making the transition from Rehab into long-term exercise.

Ever the student, Marilyn is passionate about continually developing her knowledge and experience of exercise and training in order to keep classes progressive, considered, and challenging.

Outside of work, Marilyn loves to ski and has spent two winter seasons in Sainte Foy in the French Alps. She weight trains and practices Yoga as well as Pilates for her own fitness and well-being.

After graduating from Swansea University with a degree in Sport & Exercise Science Ollie further built on his knowledge by completing a Masters degree at Loughborough University in Strength & Conditioning Coaching.

 

Throughout university Ollie gained experience in numerous sports from Rugby to Basketball, dealing with a range of ability levels. Since leaving university he further developed his knowledge pursuing placements within professional Rugby environments in London and working in a S&C/Injury Rehabilitation facility in Solihull for numerous years.

 

Leading an active lifestyle himself, Ollie knows the importance of how strength & conditioning can help not just with performance and injury rehabilitation during sporting pursuits but also with being able to live your everyday life.

 

Ollie’s main passions have always been cooking and anything outdoors, whether that is sports or just a walk, more recently developing a passion for endurance events and hiking.
