You are welcome to join at anytime. If you join before your first direct debit is due our team will take an interim payment which will enable you to start right away.

As we run small, personalised and tailored group sessions, this limits the number of attendees that we can host throughout the week. We feel passionately about giving our members added value wherever possible so they can get the most out of Pilates which means prioritising the limited space we have for members only.

Yes, absolutely! If you would like to book 2 or more guaranteed spaces each week, you can purchase multiple memberships and benefit from a 5% discount which will be applied to your direct debit. Alternatively, you can purchase additional flexible class credits to use at a time that suits you.

This discount can be used for ALL non-Pilates services and products at the clinic with just 1 exception – Quickstarts (as these are significantly discounted already). It cannot be used in conjunction with any other special offers or discounts and is only for your personal use.

*All the additional discounts you receive as a Hatt Pilates member are valid whilst you maintain your active Hatt Pilates membership direct debit.

The discounted 1:1’s (including additional Movement Screens) are £49 , which is a saving of £15 per session.

If this occurs on one of the 5 remaining bank holidays (the 3 at Xmas and New Year are already excluded due to the annual break) then you can choose to:-

1.Call us any time from 2 weeks before your regular class, up until 24 hours before the class, to arrange a Make up*

– or-

2. On the day of the class we will automatically apply a flexible class credit onto your account. This credit does not expire and can be used at any time in the future.

This encompasses the 2 calendar weeks (Mon-Sun) that cover the Xmas and New Year Bank Holidays.

This is to avoid ‘blocking’ available membership slots, so that new patients have the opportunity to start a Pilates membership and be able to book their desired regular class.

This is due to the extra costs of ongoing booking administration. Our monthly membership fees are set with this service level in mind.

We will always do our best to have the class covered by another clinician in the first instance. However, if this is not possible, we would offer to book you a Make up* class (to be booked in up to 4 weeks following this cancellation), or give you the option of a flexible class Credit.

Fortunately these scenarios are really quite rare. Again for any missed classes due to this we would offer to book you a Make up* class (to be booked in up to 4 weeks following this cancellation), or give you the option of a flexible class credit.

Our phone lines are open on Saturdays and we also have an answer machine that is available the rest of the weekend. Your time of call is logged and as long as we have the required 24 hours notice then we will call you back to see if you want to arrange a Make up* class.

We can only offer flexible class credits in circumstances when we are not able to run your guaranteed class.

This appointment benefit is specifically related to your Pilates membership and is not transferable or refundable.

Yes. It is important that the Pilates team are involved in your ongoing analysis and ideally we always recommend you book this with the instructor you see most often.

Unfortunately not. All direct debits need to go out on 24th of each month.

We review our fees each year and will always give you more than 1 months notice of any changes.

We need one full calendar months notice for this and you can simply let us know by phone or email. Please don’t cancel your direct debit until you have spoken to our team.
i.e. If you want to stop attending in May then please let us know on or before the 1st April. If you don’t give the agreed notice then a months membership fee will become chargeable.

Yes of course. However please be aware that you may not be able to get the same class day and time that you had before. Additionally a £70 rejoining fee will be payable if you cancel and rejoin within a 3 month period.

Of course. Once you sign up to become a member, you will have full access to all of the online live and pre- records enabling you to do daily classes if you wish.

If you take up a new membership then this will simply transfer over from the old one. We will discuss your account status with you at the point of transferring you over.

The new classes will be smaller groups which limits the number of attendees that we can accomodate throughout the week. We feel passionately about you getting great value and moving to a members only service will enable us to do that.

Yes. Additional class credits can be bought in blocks of 10 and do not expire.

These can be transferred forward as new class credits or clinic credit to use on our other services.

You won’t be able to attend any classes but you could use the funds towards Pilates 1:1’s. Alternatively we can review your account with you and are able to offer a transfer to clinic credit or a refund.

No you won’t need to provide one months notice on this occasion. These are unusual times for all of us and we recoginse we have made changes to your previous agreement so are happy to accept immediate notice.

You can choose to mostly use the online live and pre-recorded classes within the Class Membership and these will still offer you great value if you are a regular user. However we would still prefer to see you in clinic each month, either for a class, 1:1 or movement screen as we want to make sure that you are getting the maximum benefit from Pilates at Hatt’s.

Our Pilates team are passionate about clinically specific, expert movement correction and exercise progressions. Whilst online classes are excellent for regular extra practice they are no substitute to us being able to work with you in person.

Our 4:1 classes are 50 minutes in duration. This is a good time for a small focused class.

Definitely! You are going to get the best of both worlds – something Danny, Marilyn and Jill feel very passionately about. With just 4 people in each class you will get lots of support and guidance to make sure you are comfortable.

Yes, absolutely! This hasn’t changed so if you would like to book 2 or more guaranteed spaces each week, you can purchase multiple memberships and benefit from a 5% discount which will be applied to your direct debit. Alternatively, you can purchase additional flexible class credits to use at a time that suits you.

This discount can still be used for ALL non-Pilates services and products at the clinic with just 1 exception – Quickstarts (as these are significantly discounted already). It cannot be used in conjunction with any other special offers or discounts and is only for your personal use.

Shockwave Therapy is used to treat ongoing tendon conditions such as Tennis elbow or Achilles tendinopathy. During treatment, a shockwave initiates an inflammatory response within the tissue. The body responds by increasing its blood flow and metabolism – helping to enhance the body’s healing capacity. Shockwaves have been shown to break down injured  tissue and calcification within the tissue being treated.

Shockwaves are delivered to the injured tissue via a handpiece held by the clinician. It is non- invasive and no anaesthetic is required. Shockwave treatment will normally be delivered over 3 sessions – each lasting up to 15 minutes with ideally 1 week between each session. Shockwave always works best as a combination of treatment, and it is vital for any underlying bio-mechanical issues to be addressed at the same time; this may involve Gait Analysis and Rehabilitation.

  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Achilles tendinopathy
  • Medial tibial stress syndrome (shin splints)
  • Patella tendinopathy
  • Hamstring tendinopathy
  • Greater trochanteric syndrome (hip pain)
  • Tennis elbow
  • Golfers elbow
  • Calcified shoulder tendinopathy

If you aren’t certain as to whether you have one of the above conditions, our Physiotherapy team can help you identify the cause of your pain and provide information on the best course of treatment.

Clinical evidence shows an overall success rate of 77% for long term conditions that have not resolved with other treatments. Whilst we expect great results from this treatment,  there is a chance that the treatment may not improve your symptoms, so a review at 6 and 12 weeks post-treatment is recommended. If at this stage your symptoms have not resolved, you will be advised on alternative treatment options or your clinician may recommend diagnostic tests to understand why your pain hasn’t resolved.

The inherent nature of Shockwave means there will be some discomfort during treatment. However, most people can manage their treatment session without any issues and continue with their normal activities immediately afterwards. In most cases you will experience a reduced pain level immediately after treatment which can last for up to 48 hours. However, in some cases you may experience some discomfort, and if so your therapist will be able to advise you on the best way to manage this. It is important that you do not start taking anti-inflammatory medication as this may interfere with the effectiveness of your treatment.

If necessary, you can take over-the-counter pain killers. It is important that you do not take anti-inflammatory medication as this may interfere with the effectiveness of the shockwave treatment. Our Physiotherapy team will also be available 6 days a week should you need any support or advice during this time.

  • Cortisone injections are not to be carried out within the last 12 weeks prior to Shockwave Therapy treatment
  • You may experience minor bruising and swelling
  • If you take warfarin or other anticoagulant therapy, please notify your clinician before having treatment
  • If you have a cardiac pacemaker, please notify your clinician prior to treatment as Shockwave Therapy may interfere with this
  • If you have been diagnosed with cancer or are pregnant, please notify your clinician as treatment should not be carried out

A gait analysis looks at the way you stand, walk or run, and identifies any abnormalities in your feet and legs that could be causing you pain and discomfort. With 26 bones, 33 joints, and over 100 muscles, the human foot is one of the most complex structures within our body, and even small imbalances in the way our foot functions can cause pain and discomfort in our feet.

If you’re experiencing pain or discomfort in your feet, a Gait Analysis could help identify the problem and treat your condition. We treat a range of foot conditions, the most common include plantar fasciitis, shin splints, flat feet, achilles tendinopathy and bunions.

At your Gait Analysis appointment you’ll get a comprehensive assessment of your feet and ankles to identify the underlying cause of your pain and discomfort. We’ll learn about you, your lifestyle and what your pain is holding you back from doing, and we’ll develop a treatment plan to help you get there. This could include:

Please wear loose fitting trousers and bring along a few pairs of shoes that you regularly wear.

We’ll start by understanding what’s causing your pain. We’ll learn about you, your lifestyle and how your injury is holding you back from doing the things you love. Then, using the latest analysis tools combined with our clinical expertise, you’ll get clear diagnosis and a treatment plan tailored to your goals.

Throughout your treatment you’ll work with a positive and inspiring team who are specialists in their field. In addition, you’ll have access to a wealth of other specialisties in-house to help you achieve your health goals.

Take a look at the video above as one of our Physio’s takes you through your journey.

Our Physio team take a holistic approach to treatment. Although some of our Physios have a specialist interest in certain parts of the body or specific injuries, they are all fully qualified to deal with a whole range of conditions for people of all different ages.

They will adapt their treatment method to suit you and your goals, whether that be recovering from injury, preparing for sport or simply improving your range of motion. They treat daily aches and pains and other common conditions such as arthritis, sciatica and much more.

Our Physios have decades of experience treating patients and will offer you the best treatment options possible. If we can’t support you in clinic then we will give you the appropriate advice and recommendations to ensure you have the best care possible moving forward.

If you’d like to speak to our Patient Services team to see if Physio is right for you, please don’t hesitate to give us a call on 01380 730473.

After your diagnosis we’ll work with you to create a treatment plan that’s tailored to your goals. Whether that be to reduce your pain, restore your movement or improve your performance. Either way, together, we will create a plan to help you get there and give you clarity on how long it will take.

As much as our entire team are fully committed to your recovery,  if you want to get moving fast, we need you on-board too. That’s why you’ll get detailed information on your condition and practical advice on how you can help with your recovery. Your positive attitude, pro-active approach to home exercises and your wholehearted commitment will mean you’ll have a faster, more enjoyable and a complete recovery.

Yes! We want you to have the flexibility to benefit from your physio treatment both in clinic and in the comfort of your own home. If you decide to have an online consultation, here’s how it works:
